Stringless Stats and Passive
At level 90, Stringless has a base ATK of 510 with an Elemental Mastery substat of 165.
Due to its passive Arrowless Song, a character’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG is increased by 24%. The DMG boost only goes up with each refinement. At R5, the increase goes up to 48%.
Who Can Use the Stringless?
Given its stats, the Stringless is best suited for support characters. This weapon really works to amplify their damage when on the field. Here are the characters that can really use it well.
Fischl
Fischl is a versatile character who can play different roles in a team. But for each role, you need to know which weapon to use for her. When in a supporting role, Fischl‘s main damage comes from her Elemental skill aka Oz. When paired with the Stringless, she really benefits from the passive Arrowless Song. During elemental reactions, the EM substat really comes into play and boosts her DMG overall. Many people consider the Stringless to be her best weapon.
Venti
The archon of Mondstadt, Venti is a beloved character, not just story-wise but also because of his gameplay. He can be a great supporting member in almost any team, causing a good deal of DMG with his skills. To really make the most of his talents, it’s recommended to always give him a 4-piece Viridescent Venerer. Not only will he get a 15% Anemo DMG boost but also an increase in swirl DMG by 60%. The enemy resistance to the element being swirled will also go down. This itself makes Venti’s skill and burst very powerful. When you pair it with the Stringless, given the 165 Elemental Mastery and 24% Elemental DMG boost, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with.
Amber
Amber may not be everyone’s first choice when playing the game. However, when built right, she can be a rather powerful ally to have on your team. Elemental Mastery is something that really helps increase Amber’s DMG. The Stringless gives her that along with an Elemental DMG boost so you really can’t go wrong here.
Conclusion
The Stringless may not be the strongest weapon but it is the most versatile. There are rarely any bow users who can’t make use of this weapon. The exception here would be Gorou who has no use for Elemental Mastery and Childe. The latter can use Stringless but the passive will only apply to his burst since his skill is counted under normal attack.
If you ever manage to roll this weapon, don’t fret. Having it on your team is more useful that you realize.
